Scholarship Amount and Duration

The scholarship is open to students who have been admitted to any of the master’s degree programs (including advanced masters) offered by Ghent University in the academic year 2024-2025. The scholarship covers the following aspects:

Tuition fee waiver€128.80 per academic year (60 ECTS) or €257.60 per academic year (120 ECTS)

Living expensesA significant amount of the scholarship is allocated for living expenses

The scholarship is awarded for one academic year for a master’s program of 60 ECTS and for two academic years for a master’s program of 120 ECTS. The scholarship is paid in three installments: a first installment of €4,800 before the start of the academic year, a second installment of €2,400 in February, and a third installment of €2,800 in May.

Who Can Apply

The Ghent University Master Mind Scholarship is open to all international students who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution outside Flanders.
  • You have a high standard of academic performance and/or potential, with a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent and good knowledge of the English language.
  • You have been admitted to one of the master’s degree programs (including advanced masters) at Ghent University for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • You have not enrolled in a master’s program or equivalent in Flanders before.
  • You have not received another scholarship from the Flemish Government or Ghent University for the same period of study.

Deadline

The deadline for the Ghent University Master Mind Scholarship 2024, Belgium is March 31, 2024. The candidates are advised to apply for admission to the program of their choice before April 1, 2024, and to follow the instructions of the program coordinator for the scholarship application.
